To fans around the world, the name Reid Speed is synonymous with the legacy of US drum & bass and the history of the North American bass movement. Consistently ranked one of America's best DJs, she's known for seamlessly mixing between genres on the fly. Her original productions consistently land in high profile playlists and top DJs' sets alike. Her award-winning label Play Me Records has cemented her place as a respected tastemaker and curator.
Speed has been on the forefront of bass music since coming up in the ‘90s New York underground, as a member of the ground-breaking Breakbeat Science crew. She's graced the decks at festivals like Ultra (7 years), Electric Daisy Carnival, PS1, WEMF, Together As One, Dancefestopia and Sunset Music Festival. Reid has made television appearances on shows such as The Jamie Kennedy Experiment and MDN on Spike TV. After founding Play Me Records in 2009, the label was honored with the titles Best Dubstep Label / Best New Artist 2010 by Beatport, and Best Branded Label 2011/ 2012 by Symphonic Distribution.
With her no holds barred attitude and fierce work ethic, Reid Speed is a true queen amongst DJs. Always the Caturday enthusiast, she has gained the admiration of fans and fellow musicians for her consistent success and innovation.
