Where is your hotel located?

Is it within walking distance to the beach?

Absolutely! We are just a few minutes walking distance to the world-famous Waikiki Beach and Duke's statue, a major Waikiki landmark. It takes 3 minutes to walk (we've timed it!), 0.1 miles to be exact.

How far are you from the airport?

We are about a 20-minute drive (10 miles) from the Honolulu International airport.

Does the hotel have a shuttle?

The hotel does not offer a shuttle, however, right outside the baggage claim area at the Honolulu International Airport, there will be shuttle and taxi dispatchers available. For your transportation needs back to the airport, we can happily arrange that for you when you arrive. The shuttle generally ranges about $12-$14 a person one way. Uber also operates at HNL and drivers will be happy to pick you up from there. By taxi and Uber, it is approximately $40 each way

Is the hotel close to public transit along with shops and restaurants?

Yes, there is a bus stop located right in front of the hotel that can take you to places of interest and we are well within walking distance to world-class restaurants and shopping in Waikiki. We are also located within short walking distance to shuttle stops for the Waikiki Trolley, which takes you to some of the most famous sightseeing and scenic spots in Oahu.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am.

Do you offer early check-in?

We do not offer early check-in. Please advise us of your arrival time and we will do our best to accommodate your early arrival, pending availability. Please note that although we will do our utmost to accommodate you, the only way to guarantee an early check-in is to book the room from the night before your arrival.

Do you offer late check-out?

We offer late checkouts for 50% of the nightly rate, pending availability.

Is there a pool and gym?

We do not have a pool or gym. However, the sparkling blue waters of Waikiki Beach is located about a block from the hotel, just a quick 3 minutes walk. Kapiolani Park is also situated within walking distance (10-minute walk) and has an outdoor fitness area, tennis courts, and is a wonderful place to fit in exercise.

We are also partnered with Island Club and Spa, located in the Alohilani Hotel, which is about a 5-minute walk. We offer passes at 50%, thus $15.71 with tax for a one-time entry pass. This pass allows the guest access to Island Club and Spa's gym, pool, rooftop tennis court, and TRX gym.

Are there smoking rooms available?

No, our hotel is a completely non-smoking property and smoking is prohibited on property. If there is evidence of smoking, there will be a cleaning fee assessed. The state of Hawaii implemented a statewide law prohibiting smoking in 2006. Smoking is allowed outside at least 20 feet from public entrances.

Does the hotel allow pets?

We do not allow pets with the exception of service animals.

Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?

Yes, we offer high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the entire building, including rooms and all common areas.

Do you offer loyalty programs?

Absolutely! We invite you to join our loyalty program, Vive Rewards. All you need to join is your name and email address to receive exclusive deals and benefits, including ½ off parking and upgrades (when available). Please visit here to join.

Does the hotel have an amenity fee?

To provide the very best service we can to our guests, there is an amenity fee of $25/day plus tax. We feature a delicious breakfast full of local fruits, eggs, sausage, and pastries and have a library of books and board games for your enjoyment in the living room. The amenity fee also includes beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, and beach umbrellas. More info about this fee can be found here.

Please note that if you book direct with us (on our website, by phone, or via email with our reservations department), we will happily waive this fee for your reservation!

Do you offer anything for children?

Yes, we offer beach toys for our keiki (Hawai'ian for kids), board games in the living room, coloring sheets and crayons, and a welcome balloon upon arrival.

What is your reservation booking policy?

We highly encourage you to book directly with our hotel (on our website, by phone, or via email with our reservations department) for the best rates and flexibility. We process a one-night deposit upon making a reservation on any major credit card. Please note that some promotions require a full deposit. E.g. Advance Purchase.

What is your cancellation policy?

Reservations booked directly with us on our website, by phone, or via email with our reservation department have a 5-day cancellation policy. The reservation must be canceled 5 days prior to the arrival date by 3 pm Hawaii Standard Time. Should the reservation be canceled within the 5 days, the one night deposit will be forfeited. If canceled outside of the 5 days, the deposit will be refunded in full. Please note that some promotions are not cancelable. E.g. Advance Purchase.

Where can I find the best rates? Does the hotel price match?

The best rates can be found on our website or by calling us directly at 808-687-2000. Please visit our specials pages here. See a lower rate anywhere else? We will price match! Feel free to call us and we'd be happy to help. Booking direct with us always offers the greatest discounts and flexibility for our guests and best of all we waive the daily amenity fee completely.

Is a credit card and identification required at check-in?

Yes. Upon check-in, a major credit card and government-issued identification (passport, driver's license State/country ID) is required. Please note that we process an authorization for the remaining balance and a security deposit in order to guarantee your stay.

What payment options are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards, including VISA, MC, AMEX, JCB, and Discover. We also do accept cash, however, a credit card is required for the security deposit. We do not take checks or money orders and we do not offer currency exchange.

What do you serve at the deluxe continental breakfast?

The breakfast offers an assortment of muffins, various sweet and savory pastries, local fruits (including pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe, strawberries, papaya, oranges, watermelon), eggs, sausages, bacon, omelettes, cold cuts, blueberry streusel bread, wheat bread, Kona coffee, pineapple juice, filtered water, and an assortment of teas. The fruits are seasonal and local. We also have toasters, butter, strawberry jam, and peanut butter so you can enjoy our pastries piping hot.

What time and where is the deluxe continental breakfast served?

The deluxe continental breakfast is served daily from 7:00 am to 9:30 am.* *Subject to change.

Are there gluten-free items served at breakfast?

Yes, the fruits, hard-boiled eggs, bacon and omelettes are gluten-free. We do not offer gluten-free bread at this time.

What does the beach amenities include?

We offer beach chairs, mats, towels, boogie boards, and beach umbrellas so that you can enjoy the Hawaii sunshine without packing these bulky items in your suitcase. For keiki (kids), we also have beach toys.

Do you store luggage after check-out?

Absolutely! We'd be happy to store your luggage in our locked, air-conditioned storage room free of charge. We do not hold guest luggage overnight.

Can I mail packages to the hotel prior to my arrival? Is there a fee?

We can certainly hold items that arrive for you within 7 days of your arrival free of charge. Please be sure to notate your name on the package and ensure the name is also on the reservation. We will not accept packages if we cannot find the recipient's name in our system. If the reservation is more than 7 days from the receipt of the item, we will send the item back to the original shipper. 

How much is valet parking? Does it require reservations?

Valet parking is available and does not require reservations. It is a daily fee of $30 (tax inclusive). We offer packages that offer discounts on parking. Please visit our specials page for exclusive deals.

Is the valet fee charged per time or is it unlimited in and out privileges?

We are happy to offer unlimited in and out privileges for our guests.

Is self-parking available?

No, we only offer valet parking for your convenience.

What is the clearance ceiling height for your garage?

Our garage has a height limitation of 6 feet. Larger SUVs such as Escalades, Suburbans, Expedition will not fit in the garage. Jeeps and vans will fit. Should your vehicle not fit in our garage, we kindly advise looking into other parking options along Kuhio Avenue. Feel free to contact us for suggestions.

Are there connecting rooms?

We do not have connecting rooms at this time.

Does the hotel have sleeper sofa or rollaway beds available?

Some of our Junior Suites have sofa pull out beds, which are available for an additional $30 a person per night. We do not have any rollaway beds.

Do you have cribs?

Yes, we have pack n' plays and offer them free of charge. Please call or email us so we can be sure to make a note of your need on your reservation.

Do you guarantee bed types?

Absolutely, we guarantee the bedding type reserved on your reservation.

I forgot some toiletries, do you offer any?

Yes, we most certainly do! Please ask about our "We Forgot" program, which includes items provided free of charge, such as toothpaste, toothbrush, sewing kit, shaving kit, shower cap, mouth wash, Q-tips, earplugs, in-room slippers and more!
